BIO:
Barbara is a marketing strategist and small business advocate who helps business leaders start, brand, market and, when they’re ready, sell their companies. She’s worked with hundreds of businesses and shares her advice in a shelf-full of For Dummies books, including Small Business Marketing Kit for Dummies, Branding for Dummies, Business Plans Kit for Dummies, and Selling Your Business for Dummies. She’s also the author of the BizBuySell Guide to Selling Your Small Business, a columnist for MSN and other nationally read news sites, a contributor to business features, and a presenter at conferences and courses.

She launched her career in Hawaii and then worked in Malaysia as a community development Peace Corps volunteer before returning to Oregon where, with her husband, Peter, she co-founded and later sold an ad agency with a roster of nationally known brands.
